This article applies to:
E-Prime Go 1.0
This bug was first reported in E-Prime Go 1.0.2.57.
This bug has been corrected in E-Prime Go 1.0 (1.0.3.61).
Symptoms
The following error (H0007) may occur when launching E-Prime Go when an E-Prime License is not available and E-Run version 3.0.3.214 (or later) is not installed:
Detail
The E-Prime Go application cannot be launched without an E-Prime License. This bug is specific to the error message that appears when opening E-Prime Go 1.0.2.57 without a license and without the E-Run 3.0 application. The error incorrectly identifies the issue as being a third-party driver issue instead of a missing E-Prime license / E-Run application.
NOTE: The following error appears when packing an experiment with the expected version of E-Run missing from the E-Prime Go computer:
NOTE: The version that is referenced in the above error will match the version of E-Prime used to generate the .ebs3 file. Multiple versions of E-Run can coexist on one machine, see INSTALL: E-Prime detects other installations on machine (multiple Subject Station versions allowed) [19364].
The computer that packs experiments requires E-Run. E-Run is installed when an E-Prime Suite, Subject Station, or Runtime installation is performed (INSTALL: E-Prime and Runtime Installation Details [22671]).
Solution
Solution 1
Upgrade to E-Prime Go 1.0 (1.0.3.61) or later.
Solution 2
Attach or connect to a valid E-Prime 3.0 license before launching E-Prime Go 1.0.2.57. This allows the application to open without an error message.
NOTE: E-Prime Go versions prior to 1.0.2.57 display the following error when E-Prime Go is launched without access to a license, regardless of whether a version of E-Run 3 has also been installed on the E-Prime Go computer:
NOTE: Please follow the steps in ERROR: Using E-Prime Go results in an error message to reinstall due to missing a DigiCert Trusted Root G4 certificate [40376] if the following error message occurs: "Unexpected error. Please reinstall the application."
