E-Prime 3.0
This has been introduced in E-Prime 3.0 Update 3 (3.0.3.214).
Detail
Cloud Licenses may be updated at any time for the maximum concurrent users it has or the length of time left.
If the maximum concurrent user count has been exceeded, E-Studio shows the following error when opening the application:
Additionally, the E-Studio interface is disabled until the licensing issue can be resolved.
If the expiration date is approaching, E-Studio shows the following dialog when opening the application:
Additionally, the E-Studio Workspace shows that the Cloud License is expiring soon. Clicking on the Renew link opens the License Portal (which is where the Cloud License update occurs).
NOTE: When a Cloud License has expired, E-Studio shows notifications when opening and in the Workspace.
There are multiple ways to start the process of updating a Cloud License. Regardless of the method used, an Update Code is provided through email in order to update the license on the licensing website (mylicense.pstnet.com):
- Perform a Quote Request on the licensing website (This option is discussed further below).
- Visit the PST Store (https://psychology-software-tools.mybigcommerce.com/).
- Contact sales@pstnet.com.
NOTE: Please keep the Update Code in a convenient location as it is used to perform the update of the Cloud License.
Initiating a Quote Request
NOTE: Implementation of the feature is ongoing. This article will be updated in the future.
How to Update the License
Once an Update Code is received, the Update Code needs to be applied on the licensing website (mylicense.pstnet.com). Users with the appropriate permissions can enter the Update Code on the Update tab of the site. When the code is successfully applied, a message appears that indicates that the operation was successful. See the following article for more information on the Update Tab and user roles:
