E-Prime 3.0
This has been introduced in E-Prime 3.0 Update 3 (3.0.3.214).
Detail
PST recommends using one identity per machine. Follow the guidelines below when deploying Cloud License identities:
- A unique identity should be used when using a non-shared computer (e.g., a personal computer).
- A unique identity should be used per computer in a shared environment (e.g., a lab).
NOTE: Cloud Licenses that have a maximum of 1 concurrent user (i.e., seats) do not have to worry about this recommendation because only 1 user can access the Cloud License at a time.
When two users attempt to access the same Cloud License identity at the same time, the second machine to access the license receives the following error:
Cloud License identities are associated with specific machines. Therefore, actions in the E-Prime Licensing Portal affect that identity regardless of the number of deployed machines. For example, if one identity is on multiple machines and the identity is disabled in the E-Prime License Portal, then every machine licensed with that identity will have a disabled Cloud License.
NOTE: This recommendation may change in the future based on HASP's implementation of identities.
