Detail
The following lists common errors that may occur during the upgrade license validation process. The image below shows an example of an error that may occur during the validation process.
Validation is only supported on Native Windows
Issue: An error has been observed when the upgrade process occurs on an Operating System that is not native Windows (e.g., Windows run on a Mac through Boot Camp).
Solution: PST programs the keys to work with E-Prime and does not manufacture them. They are made by Thales (formerly Gemalto). Thales has not tested Boot Camp on a Mac. Therefore, it is not an officially supported environment and it is beyond the scope of PST support (INFO: Scope of PST Support [34403]). We recommend upgrading only on a native Windows machine.
See https://sentineldiscussion.gemalto.com/topic/safenet-sentinal-running-on-bootcamp-virtual-windows for more information on Thales and Boot Camp.
Validation already occurred
Issue: An error occurs because the key used to validate the upgrade license was already used to upgrade another key.
Solution: Verify that the license used to validate the upgrade key has never been used with a prior upgrade key.
If you encounter any other issues, ensure you are using the latest version of E-Prime and contact PST support.
