The TobiiProLab PackageFile's SetDisplayEvent routine allows specification of movie files to upload to a Tobii Pro Lab project. Therefore a participant's gaze can be seen as it overlays the experiment run.
The TPLCompleteLabEvents PackageCall at the end of a trial-level procedure calls the "UploadMedia" routine. When a movie file has incompatible encoding, the routine throws the following error:
One indication of this issue is error number 31529.
Another indication of this error is reference to line 37 of the UploadMedia PackageFile routine.
This issue is more common with older movie encodings (e.g., .mpg and .wmv files).
Workaround
Download and run a free encoder/file converter utility. For example: www.h264encoder.com.
Then, convert older file formats to an .mp4 file format. The .mp4 format has newer encoding that is compatible with Tobii Pro Lab application.
