This article applies to:
E-Prime 3.0
This bug has been fixed in E-Prime 3.0.3.214 (Update 3).
Symptoms
Evaluation experiments cannot be converted to non-Evaluation experiments after installing a full E-Prime license.
Detail
The E-Prime Evaluation License creates evaluation-version experiments with specific experiment-design restrictions (see RELEASE INFO: E-Prime Evaluation Version [18278]). One of these restrictions is that the evaluation experiment can only be opened on the same machine that it was created on. It cannot be opened on another computer.
After updating an Evaluation license to a Full license, a previously created evaluation experiment (.es3) cannot be converted to a full experiment. An evaluation version experiment that is opened and saved on a computer that has been updated from an Evaluation to a Full license remains an evaluation-version experiment. While new experiments can be created after updating the license, any previously created Evaluation experiment retain the evaluation version restrictions and cannot be converted.
Solution
This bug has been fixed in E-Prime 3.0.3.214. Upgrade to E-Prime 3.0.3.214 or later.
Workaround
This workaround is intended only for those users who are unable to update to the E-Prime version that contains the bug fix.
Submit the evaluation experiment (.es3) to PST Support using your registered PST Support Account (see INFO: How to Register for Support and Access Downloads [27523]) so it can be converted to a full experiment.
