This article applies to:
E-Prime 3.0
This bug was introduced in E-Prime 3.0.3.60 (Update 1).
This bug has been fixed in E-Prime 3.0.3.80 (Update 2).
Symptoms
E-Studio Toolbox does not repaint correctly when using PackageCall Shortcuts.
Detail
If you load an experiment with PackageCall shortcuts into E-Studio, then the Toolbox is updated to display a Toolbox Group Header for the PackageCall shortcuts. This is displayed in addition to the E-Objects Group Header. When you then load a different experiment into the same E-Studio session that does not include the same PackageFile as the previously-loaded experiment, then the Toolbox does not repaint itself correctly. The PackageFile Toolbox Group Header continues to appear in the Toolbox, but the PackageCall shortcuts that it contains are not operational. If you load a new experiment that includes a different PackageFile, then a similar problem exists: the Toolbox displays the Toolbox Group Header for both Packages, but only the group header for the Package that is loaded into the experiment is operational.
In all of these cases, the Toolbox continues to show the Toolbox Group Header from the previously-loaded experiment, but the PackageCall Shortcuts from the previously-loaded experiment specification file are not operational.
Solution
Upgrade to E-Prime 3.0.3.80 (Update 2)
Workaround
This workaround is intended only for those who are unable to update to the version of E-Prime that contains the bug fix:
Click on the E-Objects Toolbox heading. This forces the Toolbox to repaint, and the PackageCall Shortcuts no longer display.
