Detail
PST always encourages existing users to upgrade to the latest version of E-Prime to take advantage of the latest advances. However, users who are in the midst of an on-going study and who anticipate collecting additional data with their existing paradigm are always advised to exercise caution prior to upgrading. Any change to your data collection environment, whether it be hardware or software related, is generally not recommended if it can be avoided. For example, timing tests performed using E-Prime 3.0 Update 2 show a larger impact of the operating system on E-Prime's performance, than the effects introduced by either changes to E-Prime or to hardware.
The latest version of E-Prime 3.0 is E-Prime 3.0 Update 4 (3.0.3.219). This release of E-Prime introduces timing enhancements and provides bug fixes. See RELEASE INFO: E-Prime 3.0 Change History [27275] for a complete listing of the changes introduced in E-Prime 3.0 Update 4.
The latest version of E-Prime 2.0 is E-Prime 2.0 SP2 (2.0.10.356). See RELEASE INFO: Should I Update to E-Prime 2.0 SP2 (2.0.10.356)? [19582].
The latest version of E-Prime 1.0 is E-Prime 1.x (1.2.1.849).
Updates to an existing E-Prime system are included as a part of the web support plan for your product. Updates to an existing E-Prime license do not require the purchase of a new license key because updates are improvements to the current version of E-Prime. Downloads of the update are available for users who have registered their system or by utilizing E-Prime's Check for Updates. Note that the Check for Updates does not initiate any downloads.
