E-Prime 2.0
E-Prime 1.x
Symptoms
An error (error number 1000) occurs when attempting to upgrade an experiment to E-Prime 3.0 that does not have a MouseDevice.
Detail
If an experiment created in E-Prime 1.x or E-Prime 2.0 is upgraded to E-Prime 3.0 and the experiment does not have a MouseDevice present, then the following error occurs during the upgrade process:
This error occurs because E-Prime 3.0 has the added features of Buttons. The ButtonDevice is another Device available to Users when designing E-Prime 3.0 experiments. By default, the ButtonDevice's "Input Device to Filter" option is set to the MouseDevice. If no MouseDevice is present in the experiment, an error occurs.
Workaround
Add a MouseDevice to the E-Prime 1.x or E-Prime 2.0 experiment before upgrading to E-Prime 3.0.
