CAMCI-Research
Detail
Installation of the CAMCI-Research software permits the design of projects and protocols, and permits the review of project data and reports. The running of protocols for either testing or new data collection is prohibited until a valid license is applied to the system either through application of a new license, or through transfer of an existing license from another computer.
Upon launch of CAMCI-Research, the application checks the system for the existence of an active license. If an active license is detected, the application opens to the main CAMCI-Research interface to permit design of projects and protocols, or to review project data. If no active license is found on the system, the CAMCI-Research Licensing dialog is displayed, permitting the user to apply a new license, or to transfer a license from another computer.
NOTE: An active license must be applied in order to run protocols and collect data.
License Types
CAMCI-Research involves the purchase of an Initial License. Once applied, the license is active for 1 year from the date of activation, allowing unlimited testing during the active license period. Extending the duration of a license (i.e., beyond the initial license period) requires the purchase of an Extension License. An Extension License may only be applied to an active license, but may be applied at any time (i.e., immediately, or at any time prior to expiration of the initial license).
Product License Info
The Product Information area within the CAMCI-Research interface provides product, licensing, and registration information. The Product License... option displays the CAMCI-Research Licensing and Activation dialog, allowing application, transfer, or deactivation of a license. The licensing dialog also indicates the status of the license (including the end date and number of days remaining), the product serial number, contact information for licensing and support issues, and the End-User License Agreement (EULA).
Within 15 days of expiration, the License State status on the Licensing and Activation dialog indicates that the license is nearing expiration and that a new license must be purchased to allow further data collection. In addition, a simlar message indicating pending expiration of the license is displayed in the CAMCI-Research splash screen upon application startup. To continue use of CAMCI-Research, please contact PST to purchase an Extension License (see License Types above).
If you experience issues activating or extending your license, contact PST Product Service & Support.
