Detail
E-Prime does not support monitors that connect to a USB-A port or rely on DisplayLink technology. DisplayLink software makes a copy of the display, compresses it, and then sends it to the monitor for decompression. This technology does not grant E-Prime the degree of control over the hardware resources to guarantee millisecond accuracy at Runtime.
E-Prime does support monitors that connect to a USB-C port using DisplayPort technology. The machine tested specifically was a ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 which has DisplayPort 1.4 compatibility over Thunderbolt 4 via USB-C. We recommend performing timing tests on your USB-C monitor if the machine is not using the same technology or compatibility.
NOTE: Not all USB-C ports have Alt-Mode support. Consult your manufacturer for more information.
