Experiment Description
This script investigates whether profanity is faster or slower to recognize than non-profane words and non-words.
Experiment Instructions
In this experiment participants react to words, non-words, and profane words, pressing the 1, 2, or 3 keys respectively as a response. To begin each trial a fixation point appears in the middle of the screen. The stimulus word, non-word, or profane word follows, flashing on screen for 15 milliseconds. Then the stimulus is replaced by a mask of 5 asterisks to end a trial. There are 12 samples in this experiment.
