E-Prime Go 1.0
Detail
If an E-Prime Go experiment contains any Resource files (i.e., images, sounds, videos, etc.), these files must exist in the same folder as the .ebs3 file, or in a subfolder within this folder.
E-Prime Go automatically pre-selects likely Resource files based on their location and file type. The experiment packer then has the option to pack the default assortment of likely Resource files, unselect files that are not necessary to run the experiment, or select files in the full listing that are necessary to run the experiment (but are not in the default assortment). In E-Prime Go, the experiment packer cannot navigate to any other folders that contain additional Resource files, nor does E-Prime Go have the means to determine the location of any other necessary Resource files.
The location of the files in the full listing of likely Resource files is in:
- The exact same subfolder as the .ebs3
- Any subfolders within this folder
Therefore, you can only specify a relative path for E-Prime Go experiment Resource files and not an absolute path (INFO: Use / for path separation for E-Objects with filename property [16554]). Any file path changes you need to make to point to a given Resource file requires the original .es3 file. After you make the necessary changes in the .es3, you need to generate a new .ebs3 file that reflects the changes and pack it in E-Prime Go (INFO: Organization of experiment resource files [27709]).
NOTE: Because E-Prime Go experiments assume that all necessary files are within the main folder or a subfolder, they do not support the parent folder designation "../".
E-Prime Go includes every file in the experiment folder and/or any subfolders to populate the list of likely Resource files. E-Prime Go includes the following file types in the full listing, yet does not pre-select them for packing by default:
- .ebs
- .ebs2,
- .ebs3 (excluding the experiment file to pack)
- .es
- .es2
- .es3
- .edat
- .edat2
- .edat3
- .exe
- .wndpos
- .xsl
- .ini
- .epgo3
- .xml
NOTE: No other application should open/interact with any Resource files while packing the experiment. For example, having an .xlsx file open in Excel while packing it as a Resource file causes an “Error while packing – 30000 – ‘Unexpected Packing Error 30002”.
