Experiment Author: Adapted from STEP and used with permission by Brian MacWhinney
Experiment Description:
The script simulates cued shadowing. If you have a button box with an attached microphone, it will record how quickly the subject responds to a voice shift in a recorded stimulus.
Experiment Instructions:
In this experiment participants hear a male voice reading a near-complete sentence before a female voice says the last word. Subjects respond either vocally via their Serial Response box microphone's voice key or by pressing the 1 key on the keyboard., Subjects repeat the last word the female voice says. Reaction time either comes from immediately tripping the voice key, or from pressing the 1 key on the keyboard after speaking the last word. This experiment has 20 trials.
NOTE: The folders "EP1_Voice Shift, EP3_Voice Shift" require a serial response box to run the experiment.
