E-Prime 3.0 is equipped with a Resources folder that researchers may find useful when designing experiments. The Resources folder is equipped with images and sounds that researcher can use in their experiments. The files in this folder are particularly useful for customizing SlideButtons. This folder is located at <ProgramFiles>\PST\E-Prime 3.0\Resources.
The use of the @Resources convention can be used in the Filename field. This shortcut (i.e., @Resources) is automatically provided when selecting or referring to a system provided resource file. When navigating to or specifying an absolute path that is associated with the root folder of the system-provided resources (C:\Program Files (x86)\PST\E-Prime 3.0\Resources), the value is translated to a shortened path with “@Resources” replacing the portion of the absolute path of the resource image area. If the “@Resources” shortcut is explicitly typed in, it is likewise translated and accepted as a valid path. For example, the following is used for the movie file path on the 7-Point, All Label, Movie Prompt Slide Layout Template: @Resources/SLT/SLT_video.avi.
Backgrounds
By default, when adding a SlideButton to any experiment, the background of the SlideButton is configured (E-STUDIO: SlideButton Sub-Object [23598]). The background image of the any of the SlideButton defaults to @Resources/Backgrounds/Enhanced/Enhanced1-GrayLight-@State.png (where @State resolves to Normal, Down, Hover, etc.). This image comes from the Backgrounds sub-folder.
The Backgrounds folder contains 2 sub-folders: Enhanced and Simple. The Enhanced folder contains images that make the SlideButtons appear as if they have some depth. The Simple folder contain images that have no texture or depth. They are just plain images of the corresponding color.

Cards
The Cards sub-folder contains a basic deck of cards (i.e., 2-10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace, Jokers) with some variations of the backs of the cards. These images are useful in any studies where Researchers want to configure SlideButtons to represent a deck of cards (see SlideButton memory game template [34541]).
Icons
The Icons sub-folder contains various icons that may be used to customize the appearance of SlideChoice (E-STUDIO: SlideChoice Sub-Object [23599]) and SlideButton sub-objects. The Icons sub-folder contains 4 additional sub-folders: Arrows, CheckBoxes, Indicators, and Radios.
NOTE: Images in these sub-folders are on a Magenta background (255, 0, 255). Therefore, when using these Icons, you can use the Color Key property to make the images appear transparent.

SLT
The SLT folder contains a placeholder audio, image, and video file that are used in Slide Layout Templates (E-STUDIO: Slide Layout Template [23584]). The files are used in Slide Layout Templates that require the Researcher to update the placeholder file with an actual stimulus file. For example, the SLT_video.avi movie file is used in the 7-Point, All Label, Movie Prompt Slide Layout Template.
Sounds
The Sounds folder contains 3 audio files: buzzer, click, and ding. These files are often used for SlideButton audio feedback. For example, a Researcher may want to play a "ding" file when the SlideButton is clicked. This needs to be configured by going to the Feedback tab of the SlideButton. Then, the sound file needs to be added as the audio feedback as seen below.
