The Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) is used to simulate real-life decision making.
This experiment is a version of the Iowa Gambling Task. The goal of the task is to win as much money as possible. Participants are shown four card choices. Cards either reward or penalize the participant which affects their game money. The task is not random, and some decks are "good" while others are "bad" (i.e., some choices reward participants more than others).
Responses are made with the mouse. Participants start out with a $2,000. Current funds are shown on screen. Participants may go into the negative and use credit to attempt to win if they run out of cash.
