ERROR: AMD or NVIDIA overlay appearing on screen when running experiments [34405]

Symptoms

When running an experiment, you may see an Overlay message such as the following:

This may occur with the latest AMD or NVIDIA driver that includes Overlay Menus. This message may cause odd behaviors during an experiment run such as freezing or runtime errors.

Workaround

Open your Graphics Settings and navigate to Settings/Preferences. Locate any Overlay settings and disable them.

NOTE: The location of these settings may vary by manufacturer and driver version. If you are unable to locate the appropriate settings, please consult with the hardware manufacturer.
