This article applies to:
E-Prime 2.0
This bug has been corrected in E-Prime 2.0 (2.0.10.353).
Symptoms
When running an experiment that references the SNTP clock, E-Prime will occasionally crash at the end of the experiment, just before the .edat2 file is written.
Detail
E-Prime supports the ability to choose from different clocks in E-Studio. The default clock is the E-Prime Primary Realtime Clock, which utilizes the computer's crystal clock as the basis for critical timing. However, when E-Prime needs to communicate and coordinating timing with another hardware device, the SNTP Realtime clock is often used (see TIMING: E-Prime SNTP Realtime Clock [19471]). This clock enables E-Prime to synchronize its clock with the clock on the other hardware device.
When utilizing the SNTP clock in previous versions of E-Prime, users reported intermittent error that caused E-Prime to cash immediately following the run of an experiment. This has been resolved in E-Prime 2.0 SP1.
Solution
Upgrade to E-Prime 2.0.10.353 or later.
