The Stop Signal Task is an experiment that measures response inhibition (impulse control) in participants.
Abstract
This experiment presents a series of trials with instructions to respond as quickly as possible to the presentation of a left or right arrow using the "q" and "p" keys on the keyboard, respectively. Feedback is given after each trial. Average reaction time (RT) is presented at the end of the Practice trials.
After the Practice trials, additional instructions are given to not respond to arrows circled in red. Feedback is given after each trial.
