The Game of Dice Task is used to assess a participant's decision-making under risk conditions.
Abstract
In this task, participants are asked to bet on the results of a dice roll. The bets are separated into 4 possible risk levels with the riskiest being a possible payout or loss of $1000, $500, $200 or $100. The bets are all placed by interacting with SlideButton objects. The dice roll is shown with a SlideMovie object. After the dice is rolled, participants are shown feedback on whether they gained or lost money.
