This article applies to:
E-Prime 2.0
This item was introduced in E-Prime 2.0 (2.0.1.15).
Detail
This feature allows all of the E-Prime file formats (.es2, .edat, .emrg) to be able to read/write UNICODE characters natively.
Compatibility
Since .es files must be converted/upgraded to .es2 files and only contain ANSI/MBCS characters, backwards compatability is not an issue.
E-Prime 1.x and 2.x .edat files will work interchangably. The exception is that any character that is outside of the standard ASCII range will appear as '?' or non-descript characters when viewed in E-DataAid unless viewing them under a native operating system designed for the extended characters.
