E-Prime 2.0
This item has been introduced in E-Prime 2.0 (2.0.8.12).
Detail
E-Prime 2.0 introduces the ability to prompt or automatically remove/upgrade previous versions.
This feature is intended to prompt to remove any Release Candidate version from 2007. This feature prompts to upgrade any E-Prime 2.0 version in 2008 or later. This feature does not handle the E-Prime 2.0 BETA, which requires manual uninstall through the Add/Remove Programs applet.
Because of the complexities of the installation process, if errors or other difficulties occur while installing, then manually remove E-Prime 2.0 prior to installing the newer version of E-Prime 2.0. To assist with debugging upgrade issues, optionally use Windows Installer logging switches and send the log files to PST Tech Support.
To enable logging, use the command line switch:
msiexec /i "D:\E-Prime 2.0.msi" /lvoicewarmupx "C:\install.log"
Where C:\Install.log is the path to where to log the installation and D:\E-Prime 2.0.msi is the path to the E-Prime folder on your E-Prime 2.0 CD.
For minimal installations, download the .exe and extract it to a temporary folder using a tool such as WinZip.
