Detail
E-Prime requires Administrator permissions for installation of the Prerequisites and the E-Prime Suite. We recommend you perform installations on a Windows account with full Admin privileges and run the installation packages via the right-click > Run as Administrator option.
NOTE: A Standard Windows account has the permissions below enabled by default. If these are blocked by your IT department, please consult them directly.
During installation, E-Prime requires Write access to the following:
- Temp folder (e.g., C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\)
- System32 folder (e.g., C:\Windows\System32\)
- ProgramData folder (e.g., C:\ProgramData\Pst\E-Prime\)
- Program Files folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\PST)
- Common Files folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files)
Under normal use, E-Prime requires Read/Write access to the following:
- AppData folder (e.g., C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\)
- Common Files folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files)
- ProgramData folder (e.g., C:\ProgramData\Pst\E-Prime\)
- Any folder the experiments are saved to and run from (e.g., My Documents, Desktop, etc.).
Under normal use, E-Prime requires Read access to the following:
- System32 folder (e.g., C:\Windows\System32\)
- Program Files folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\PST)
Lastly, E-Prime requires access to port 1947 for sending and receiving UPD and TCP packets (see INFO: E-Prime Machine Configuration Requirements [43078] for more details).
