Experiment Description
This experiment compares the reaction times for stimuli that are perceived and responded to with the same or different sides of the brain. The experiment varies the location of the stimulus (left or right of the fixation), the hand used to make the response, and the display duration of the fixation cross.
Experiment Instructions
Participants focus on a fixation point (+) and respond when a stimulus is displayed to the left or right of the fixation point by pressing the spacebar within 2 seconds of the stimulus display. Two blocks of 200 trials each are presented. Before starting the experimental trials, participants are instructed to center the keyboard with the middle of the computer monitor.
