E-Prime Extensions for EyeLink 3.0
Detail
The following table is a list of all the Experiment Advisor Modules, when the module occurs (i.e., experiment generation, runtime, or both), and how to solve the Module.
Module | Generate / Runtime | Solution |
EyeLink Lost Data | Runtime | Eye tracker data (e.g., Gaze Samples, Blinks, Fixations, etc.) is being lost during the experiment. Verify there is no problem with the connection on the machines and that too many messages are not arriving for the EyeLink system to handle. |
EyeLink Context Log Listener | Runtime | N/A (This an internal mechanism required by the EyeLink device to ensure items are managed accurately). |
EyeLink Resources Added to Folder (Inefficient Composite) | Runtime | Resources were added to the Resources folder during the test session. Verify that sub-objects do not overlap or that a sub-object is not transparent. This can also occur because new stimuli were sent as display objects which caused new resources to be created. Pilot all conditions / trials prior to running with participants to avoid this. See INFO: Piloting E-Prime Extensions for EyeLink studies prior to data collection [34197] for more information. |
EyeLink Message Too Long | Runtime | The message sent to EyeLink is too long and was truncated. Verify that the messages sent to EyeLink are not greater than 243 characters. |
