This Bilateral Complex Finger Tapping task is a test of motor speed in participants.
Abstract
This task requires participants to tap bilaterally in the sequence specified in the experiment (i.e., 1,3,5,2,4 on the left hand and 6,8,a,7,9 on the right hand). This button layout was selected as it is the default for FOBRS and Celeritas. Two input masks are used for easy data analysis.
The task is repeated as rapidly as possible without error. This generates robust M1 and premotor activity due to the dexterity requirements of the experiment. Responses are made with the Keyboard (HID) device.
NOTE: Make sure to adjust duration for your scanner and study.
