E-Prime 2.0
E-Prime 1.x
Detail
E-Prime's applications are designed to work out of the box without additional configurations on the machine. However, security policies implemented by your institution or IT department may result in E-Prime's applications not being able to function properly. This article details the machine configuration settings that are required in order to run the E-Studio application.
Port Access
E-Prime requires access to the following ports in order for E-Studio to successfully access a USB or Cloud License:
- 443 for *.pstnet.com¹
- 1947 for inbound² and outbound UDP/TCP³
Ensure that firewalls and anti-virus programs are not blocking these ports or any of the E-Studio/HASP applications or services.
¹Cloud Licenses must be able to communicate with the E-Prime Cloud Server in order to validate the Cloud License when using E-Studio. We recommend whitelisting the *.pstnet.com domain to ensure that this communication is allowed. Port 443 is also used for documentation links and update checks.
²Inbound UDP is needed for Broadcast search if hosting your own Network/Group Hardware Key. If specifying an IP Address/Dynamic name in the search parameter, UDP broadcast is not needed.
³Outbound TCP is needed to communicate with the hosting license (either Network/Group Hardware Key or Cloud Licensing Server).
