Detail
NOTE: As of E-Prime 3.0 Update 3 (3.0.3.214), Internet Explorer 6 (or later) is no longer required for installing E-Prime. Internet Explorer is no longer a part of Windows (as of Windows 11).
E-Prime requires Internet Explorer 6 or later to be installed prior to E-Prime being installed. If installing E-Prime from CD, the E-Prime installation will prompt to install IE6 and will run through the IE6 installation. If installing from a download or minimal installation, the E-Prime install will inform the user that the installation cannot continue. E-Prime requires IE6 components to be installed because of a number of framework considerations and uses the Windows Internet API to communicate with the web for E-Prime AutoUpdate. E-Prime does not require the use of Internet Explorer for personal web browsing needs and does not use the Internet Explorer browser, but instead the underlying components and framework.
