This article applies to:
E-Prime 1.1
E-Prime 1.0
This bug has been fixed in E-Prime 1.1 (1.1.2.9).
Symptoms
Specifying negative history value for an attribute reference [attrib:-1]always results in "History out of bounds" error.
Detail
When attempting to look back into an attribute's history, the proper syntax is to use [attrib:index]. When the index is positive, the value looked up is in the future selections. When the index is negative, previous values are retrieved.
In E-Prime 1.0, specifying a negative history value for an attribute reference [attrib:-1] always results in "History out of bounds" error.
NOTE: Specifying a value for the index that is too large will continue to throw the "History out of bounds" error as expected.
Solution
Update to E-Prime 1.1.2.9 or later.
