This article applies to:
E-Prime 1.0
This bug has been fixed in E-Prime 1.1.
Symptoms
The IFIS components within E-Prime/E-Run incorrectly send a press response to the Keyboard device when both a press or release transition is detected. In most experiments, this is not detected because the trial is single stimulus or the extra response is flushed.
NOTE: Tapping task experiments are extremely prone to reporting incorrect data because of the additional invalid responses that are corrected.
In these instances, data would be tainted and invalid. For concerns with such paradigms, please contact PST technical support.
Solution
Update to E-Prime 1.1 or later.
