This bug has been fixed in E-Prime 1.1 SP3.

Symptoms
Pressing the DELETE key while renaming an object in Structure window cause object to be deleted instead of character.

Workaround

This workaround is intended only for those who are unable to update to the version of E-Prime that contains the bug fix:

Use of the BACKSPACE key while editing a name.

Solution
Update to E-Prime 1.1 SP3 or later.
