Detail
The FeedbackDisplay.ProcessInputObjectPendingInputMasks property has been introduced in E-Prime to assist accurate FeedbackDisplay reporting.
When an object uses PreRelease into a FeedbackDisplay object (which is further amplified by the '(same as duration)' default for PreRelease), the object releases early and the descriptive statistics are collected inaccurately since the object could still be handling responses from the input masks.
For example, TextDisplay1 has a Duration/PreRelease value of 1000ms. FeedbackDisplay follows TextDisplay1 and determines that there is not RESP or RT information and inaccurately displays this to the screen. It then waits for the PreRelease time to elapse. During that time, responses are received and are logged appropriately to the output .edat file.
