Renaming sub-objects is good practice. Like all other objects in E-Prime, we recommend using descriptive names for sub-objects so that they are easily identifiable. The descriptive names help any colleagues who might be editing the experiment or analyzing the data.  

When the Slide sub-object is clicked, the name appears in the drop-down menu of the Slide Toolbar. The name of the sub-object can be edited in two different ways:

• Open the Slide sub-object property page and edit the name field.

• Edit the (Name) field in the Properties window.
