In the Change Blindness Task, a change in a visual stimulus is introduced and the participant's job is to observe what that change is.
Abstract
In this experiment, participants are repeatedly shown two versions of an image for up to 60 seconds. There is one small change between the two images. Participants are instructed to press the spacebar when they identify the difference in the images. Then the participant is presented with a list of options from which they are asked to choose the correct difference between the images. How long it took the participants to identify the difference in images (i.e., from when the first image of the trial was initially presented to when they pressed the spacebar) is logged as "IdentifyTime". If the participant does not press the spacebar, IdentifyTime will report "N/A".
NOTE: To run the experiment, ensure that the images are placed in the same location as the .es3 file.
NOTE: Additional image sets are included that may be used as well.
