In the Dual n-Back Task, two independent sequences are presented simultaneously to participants that test working memory and continuous performance.

Abstract

In the task, participants are presented with a sequence of stimuli in visual and auditory form. The task consists of indicating when the current stimulus matches the one from "n" steps earlier in the sequence. The n factor is set via the StartupInfo during the experiment run. It can vary from 1-3. Responses are made with the keyboard.
