The n-Back Task is a continuous performance task that is used to assess working memory and working memory capacity.
Abstract
In this task, the participant is presented with a sequence of stimuli in character form. The task consists of indicating when the current stimulus matches the one from n steps earlier in the sequence. The n factor is set via the StartupInfo during the experiment run. It can vary from 1-3. Responses are made with the keyboard.
NOTE: 2 versions of this task are attached to this article. Lists are used in n-Back Fixed and arrays are used in n Back Array.
