E-Prime Extensions for SMI 1.0
Detail
The following are all known issues in the most recent production release of E-Prime Extensions for SMI (version 1.0.1.96). This list will be updated any time a new version of E-Prime Extensions for SMI is released.
The PackageFile call "SMI_CalibRegular" may result in a run-time error.
By default, the PackageFile call SMI_CalibRegular performs a calibration with semi-automatic point acceptance, which means the space bar must be pressed to advanced past the first calibration point and past the first validation point; all subsequent calibration and validation points are advanced automatically (after the eye tracker detects the gaze at the point). However, if the point acceptance is changed to full-automatic (all calibration and validation points advance automatically, including the first point), then the SMI_CalibRegular PackageFile call may fail and return the error message "Value of the Object variable has not been set or is invalid."
A new version of EESMI is available for download to all licensed EESMI users who want to perform calibration in full automatic mode. To download, first navigate to the https://support.pstnet.com/, log in (if necessary), and select the “Downloads” option from the menu running across the top of the page. After selecting the “E-Prime Extensions for SMI” entry, click on the entry “E-Prime Extensions for SMI (Build 1.0.1.98) 21.8 MB”.
The PackageFile call "SMI_StopRecording" may result in a run-time error.
If you receive an error stating the appliction is not ready to record buffer, add an InLine prior to the SMI_StopRecording call with the following script.
SMI_Device.ContinueRecording "Continuing"
This script will set the state of the SMI buffer to "Continue" instead of "Pause".
