The Cross-Modal Priming Task (CMPT) is a measure used to test the difference in visual vs auditory priming.
Abstract
In this task, participants respond to visual cues while hearing sounds. The sounds and the visual cues are either red or green and the sound is either high pitched or low pitched. A high pitched sound is most likely to be paired with a green image and a low pitched sound is more likely to be paired with a red image.
