Before reading these articles, a user should have a basic knowledge about operating personal computers and experimental research design and analysis. Familiarity with the Windows operating system is important, and at least one undergraduate course in experimental research methods is recommended. The understanding of terms such as “independent variables” and “random sampling” is assumed. If this background is lacking, we recommend that the user first become familiar with how to use the Windows operating system and reference an undergraduate text on experimental research methods.
