Variable fixation timing

I am using the GUI to create an experiment, and I would like each trial to have a fixation cross that is onscreen for 200-600 ms.  Is there a way to create this variable fixation length using the GUI?  I am unfamiliar with coding in E-Prime.

  Hey Erin!

  The only solution without coding that comes to my mind is creating a table filled with random values between 200 and 600. You could create that for example in excel and then import. However, doing it programmatically would be much cleaner and is really just a very small endeavor.

  Thanks very much for your suggestion!  Would you be able to provide any guidance regarding how to edit the script to present the fixation for 200-600 ms?

  This is a job for a nested List.  See that tutorial in Appendix C of the User's Guide for E-Prime 2.
