Trigger Codes Produce Other Numbers
Hello,
I am programming an implicit bias task in which in each trial there is a 250ms visual mask, followed by a 200ms Prime, then a 200ms target image, followed finally by a 250ms visual mask. There are two types of Prime images and two types of Target image. Participants have 500ms to respond to the target. I am now trying to assign EEG trigger codes via task events/parallel port to Curry 9.
The task runs fine without the codes, however the program crashes when the target image queues up now. Additionally, and very confusingly, the program ignores codes for one type of prime image, and entirely new codes appear in Curry. For example, Black primes are set to 201, and White primes to 301; the 201 code appears, but the 301 does not. The premask image is coded as 40, yet appears as 45 in Curry, which does not exist as a trigger code in Eprime for any stimulus.
Does anyone know what may be happening? I've tried to set the prerelease time to be both very long and very short to no avail. Rather than writing inline code, I navigated to the Task Events panel under properties, set the action to WriteByte, and referred under "custom" to the attribute in the list (e.g., [PrimeTrigger] for the prime images).
