Loading images into experiment using embedded load method
Hi,
Bit of a long one but would really appreciate any help.
I have an attention task that has 8 different symbols. Six of these are displayed on the first slide and then a red dot is used to cue attention to one of them. The last slide displays all 8 symbols and asks participant to identify the symbol (cued by the red dot).
The six symbols on the first slide are supposed to be a random combination of the 8 symbols, in each trial this should be changing. However, it is not, only the six symbols that are set up on the slide are showing (this needs to stay the same for the format). The output is showing the symbols to be changing but when running the experiment I can see that the same symbols are being shown in each trial. This is resulting in participants being scored incorrectly, as only 6 out of the 8 symbols are being used but Eprime thinks there is 8.
In the list, the load method for the symbols is embedded. I have tried looking through the script for the code of the symbols but have had no luck finding them. The only thing I can think of is to put the two missing symbols in as an unreferenced E-object but don't think this will match up with the programming in the list.
Really stumped and have got myself in a bit of a mess, so any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
