Parallel Port Settings Failure

Hi everyone

Together with a colleague I’m trying to get a script running using the Runtime version of E-Prime 3. I configured the experiment using the full version and set the parallel port to LPT 3 (thry have parallel port only and aoply this successfully using NeuroBS Presentation) with the usual settings. The script just runs out of time (requiring a hard break of the whole system) , though the inital "subject" and "session" questions are being asked...

In addition, when launching the E-prime parallel port test script for version 3 provided on the E-Prime homepage, this delivers error 10006 (assertion failed) , which refers to a debug statement, hence it is not informative and not helping here.

Since I have no parallel port (serial only) and my colleague has no fulltime version, we could not find a solution to this error. 

Can you please help us trying to figure out how to solve this issue? Of course, further information will be required for this from my side (please specify which).
