I created a study that presents 9 circles for 300 ms each to the participant. The 9 circles are either all red, all green, or all blue. Sometimes all of the 9 red circles are the same hue of red, and other times they differ in red hue. The same happens with the green and blue circles. After the see the set of 9 circles, they are presented with a screen that shows five circles in a row. They are asked to adjust the five circles to represent how variable the color of 9 circles they saw was. For example, if the 9 red circles presented were all the same shade of red, then they would adjust the row of five circles to all look the same. If the 9 circles of red were different shades of hue, they would then adjust the row of five circles to represent various shades of hue. I am having an issue getting the response from the participant to adjust the hue of the row of 5 circles. I would like for them to press 1 to make the 5 colored circles more different from each other. Is there anyway that I can get some help with this? I keep getting a type mismatched error for the select case because the case is an integer and the circles are a string. All of the code is written with the color as a string, and I would like to avoid having to change everything to an integer. I am new to eprime, so this is hard for me. Is there a way I can send you the code and serial number so that I can get some help figuring this out? Thank you!
