I am trying to build a dual-task in E-Prime but I am unable to get what I need. I am aware of the dual-task example on the PST website, but this has not been useful for me.
It is a dual task design with both an attentional and a behavioural task. Both of these tasks are performed at the same time, but they are not associated with one-another.
During the attention element, participants must view a screen with a number presented every second. At the end they are asked how many times a target number appeared (i.e. '4'). No input is required for this task, only observation.
At the same time they are performing sequential finger tapping with their right hand by pressing keys on the keyboard. Tapping is not related to the attention task. I am finding it difficult to run these two tasks at exactly the same time and record finger tapping input.
I attach a figure to help explain the task better.
I would be grateful if for any advice.

Does the concept of E-Prime technically include a notion of UX/UI tools like that used here https://gapsystudio.com/service/ or I'm on the wrong path?
