We have been using 126.96.36.199 for compatibility reasons for a long series of experiments. Someone in our lab created a new script and moved to another university before finishing the script. The script was finished on a machine using 2.0.10.xxx and now the script won't load to edit or compile here.
Is there a conversion hack for 2.0.10.xx -> 2.0.08.xx? I haven't seen one.
I can understand why there is not backwards compatibility for 2.0 to 1.0. And I can understand why there may not be backwards compatibility from 3.0 to 2.0/
I can understand why there may not be backwards compatibility in compiled versions of scripts, because of bug fixes.
But I can't understand why a company would release a change in software within a version that produces complete inability to load and edit a script.
