To restore the Menu Bar, please close all instances of E-Studio. Then run the executable located at http://www2.pstnet.com/downloads/misc/ResetUtilityWindows.exe (with E-Studio closed). After running this, the menu bar will now be visible when opening E-Studio.

If the issue persists, please create a web support at https://support.pstnet.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

    See https://groups.google.com/d/topic/e-prime/9UlSrY5Kglc.

BTW, I am just another user, not PST Support.

Thanks David. Sadly, it did not work for me. I just get a beep sound and nothing happens.

In that case you should contact PST Support.  And then please write back with what happens.  Thanks.

    Hi,

I recently uploaded an e-prime experiment from another pc since I had the refresh rate runtime error when running e-prime 3 experiment on windows 7 and as a result of moving the file to another computer running on windows 8 with e-prime 3 installed, the top menybar of the e-studio did not show up. I tried to press the alt+T+U and alt+T and alt + U but nothing happened. does somebody know some other fix to this issue?

I am having the same issue. I have contacted PST on 3 occasions now. No response other than automated. I looked futher and what I see it that the menu bar has been gone from all 2.0 experiments (on my 8.2 environment) since I installed 3.0 (even if I open 2.0 without using 3.0) . On the Windows 10 the 3.0 is merely messing up my visual processor in 2.0. 3.0 is running fine, but all current experiments, our entire subject lab network, etc, are in 2.0. These are big issues and could stop our program in its tracks (with out of course thousands paid to PST immediately for more 3.0 software). As I said contacted PST. No response other than an automated one. Wish I could be more help....or that PST was.

I managed to find a workaround to the issue that is not optimal but allows me to continue data collection. I created a new account (not an admin account) to the windows and opened the files with that. As a result, the program opened normally with the top menubar visible. I tried the same solution with two desktop computers one running windows 10 and one with windows 8 and it worked in both. Therefore, it seems that the cause is not related to windows version but the program layout/display settings are changed at some point (so that it does not show the menubar by default) and that the changes are saved to the admin account. Of course, many of the e-prime users use pc that has a university admin and no new accounts can be easily created. I hope they will come up with a proper solution as soon as possible.

    Hey all,

I am having the same issue. I managed to partially overcome this by right clicking at the bottom of the 'Experiment Explorer' tab (Alt + 1 will bring this tab up). There will then be an option for 'Main Toolbar'. Select this, and a separate menu bar will appear on the top screen. It isn't the exact same as the original, but contains many of the same options.
