I'm running an Eprime experiment where all of the blocks of trials must be create beforehand and saved as text file lists. I am then loading those lists into a list in Eprime before beginning each block. The problem I'm having is that after running many blocks, loading each list in prior to running each block, E-prime eventually crashes with an "Out of Memory" error. It appears that each time I load a list into E-prime, that list is saved in memory, even though I keep loading new lists over it into the same list object.
In other words. I have one list object, and throughout the course of the experiment, I keep loading lists from text files into it. It seems that each time I load a new list, the old information that was in that list in prior blocks is still saved in memory. So, after loading a bunch of lists, I run out of memory.
Is there a way to completely uninitialize the list prior to loading a new one? In essence, I want to flush the memory of the prior list before loading a new list from a text file. That way, my memory stays free.
Or, is there some other way of freeing up memory in Eprime?
