E-Prime 2.0
Symptoms
The E-Prime 2.0 installer throws the following error if GUI Run-time HASP driver version 8.31 or later is pre-installed:
Error 2753. The File 'haspds_msi.dll.6CF3F7DF_6AED_451D_BF8F_AD216156BF2B' is not marked for installation.
Detail
The installation of the GUI Run-time HASP driver version 8.31+ (i.e. HaspUserSetup.exe) causes an error that blocks subsequent E-Prime 2.0 installation attempts. While we generally recommend staying up to date with the latest HASP driver to troubleshoot license violation, or to prevent a BSOD before you install E-Prime 2.0 SP2 on Windows 10 2004 or later (ERROR: HASP driver issues on Windows 10 (version 2004, 20H2, 21H1, 21H2) and 11 [35173]), when installing E-Prime 2.0 under Windows 10 Version 2004 or later then you cannot use the most recent GUI HASP driver and instead must use an earlier version of the driver to complete the installation.
After the E-Prime 2.0 installation is complete, you can update to the latest version of the GUI Run-time HASP driver if you encounter a license violation error when launching E-Studio.
NOTE: If you are on a version of Windows prior to Windows 10 2004 and do not have any license violation warnings on a current E-Prime 2.0 installation, then you do not need to install a more recent HASP driver prior to any E-Prime 2.0 installation.
Workaround
The following workarounds are possible:
Workaround 1:
Upgrade to E-Prime 3.0. This issue does not occur on E-Prime 3.0. To upgrade your experiments, see RELEASE INFO: Upgrading Experiments to E-Prime 3.0 [23302]. If you would like to install both E-Prime 2.0 and E-Prime 3.0 on the same machine, install E-Prime 3.0 prior to installing E-Prime 2.0.
Workaround 2:
Uninstall the GUI Run-time HASP driver version 8.31 (or later) (re-run the HASPUserSetup.exe from the 8.31 (or later) version and select the Remove option); then, download and run the latest E-Prime 2 Professional Service Pack (2a). This will install E-Prime 2.0.10.356 Professional and will also install the HASP Driver version 9.12 using the Command Line Run-time installer as the issue only occurs with the GUI Run-time installer.
NOTE: This workaround applies to only those using E-Prime 2 Professional. If you are using E-Prime 2 Standard, please use one of the other existing workarounds.
Workaround 3:
Uninstall the GUI Run-time HASP driver version 8.31 (or later), then download and run the Sentinel HASP driver version 8.23 installer locally and with full Admin privileges and finally install E-Prime 2.0.
Workaround 4:
Uninstall the GUI Run-time HASP driver version 8.31 (or later), then run the Sentinel HASP/LDK Windows Command Line Run-time Installer as the issue only occurs with the GUI Run-time installer.
Workaround 5:
Optionally, you may refrain from upgrading your machine to Windows 10 2004 or later. Only these versions of Windows require a HASP driver version 7.103 or later to prevent a BSOD.

Alternatively, https://support.pstnet.com/hc/en-us/articles/229359527-INSTALL-haspds-msi-dll-error-when-installing-a-version-of-E-Prime-2-0-prior-to-2008-18385- suggests merely renaming the 'Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\' folder, which worked for me.
Thank you. We appreciate you voting and writing feedback. We will do our best to improve your experience
