Investigates whether pleasant or unpleasant images interfere with recall of words.
During the viewing phase of the experiment, 120 words are displayed on the screen for 5 seconds each. Words are displayed with either no background, a positive image, or a negative image. During the recognition phase of the experiment, emotional words that may or may not have been presented in the viewing phase are displayed. Participants press the "Y" key if the word had been displayed previously and "N" if the word had not been displayed previously.
NOTE: To run the experiment, ensure that the graphic file mid.bmp is in the same folder as the .es/.es3 file, and that the resources folders ("bad" and "good") are at the same level as the .es/.es3 file.
